A quirky coming of age novel by Deb Caletti. Quinn's family could be considered a coven of manhaters. After being dumped by her "nice" boyfriend and realizing what jerk/freak that her dad is she sets out to make things right for herself and the women that he wronged with her little sister Sprout and the half sister she barely knows. Oops, I forgot the hot musician guy. It's touching and funny, and read it.

Twilight
I just couldn't resist writing a review for this overrated book. It easily became the required reading for teenage girls worldwide with a classic theme, but the most I can say for it is that it's average, more accurately my Grade Point Average (2.68 weighted). It just as quickly became a laughingstock, with sparkly vampires and lines like "I love you, but I love Edward more".The characters are bland and the movie has destroyed the last remnants of sparkly vampire respectability.

Girl in the Arena
In a dystopia that parallels our own Lisa Haines crosses the ancient Roman circus with modern corporate culture. Neo Gladiators (Glads for short) are both celebrities and outsiders that form an insular society which is controlled by Caesar's an inhuman corporation. Lyn is the daughter of seven Gladiators and well steeped in Glad culture (honestly she's not a big fan of it), but when tradition requires she marry her father's killer she... read the book and find out.

The Hunger Games/ Catching Fire
Set in an authoritarian world where the Capital holds a brutal competition pitting sacrifices from each district in a fight to the death every year as a display of power, Katniss Everdeen is just trying to keep herself and her family alive. This book is almost impossible to put down. Great for both heavy readers and those who may have never picked up a book before.

My Must Reads
Don Quixote
-It's about a skinny old man who has brainwashed himself into thinking he's a knight. He has a proverb spouting "squire", a cure-for-all with pukative properties, and he actually ends up meeting a bona fide Duke and Duchess. It's a must read.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
-If you haven't heard of this amazing book you must have been living in a deep dark hole without digital watches. If you haven't read it you're missing out. Read the book , read the series, please don't watch the movie.
Just in Case
- Angsty, semi-paranoid youth struggles with fate and later, love in this amazing must read.

About Me
This is going to be my first time reviewing so forgive me if I'm a little rough around the edges. My all time favorite books are Don Quixote, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and Just in Case (by Meg Rosoff, I think). I'm a chronic underachiever and a classroom reader (as in - in fourth grade my teacher had a confiscation box for toys and a confiscation pile(of books) for me. Guess which one was bigger.) I am beginning the adventure that will become my great coming of age classic YA novel and listening to A Rocket to the Moon... for now.
